Requesting an RMA
An RMA request is made by means of a written request via support@firepithaven.co.uk. This application must contain the following elements: - Name of customer and contact person; - Address data; - Proof of purchase (receipt/invoice); - Complete complaint description supported by photo material.
Conditions for acceptance of an RMA request
- A proper complaint description must be entered for each item 1 ; - The description of the complaint must be clearly illustrated with the help of photos and/or videos;

What is corten steel and why is it used?
Corten steel is a weathering steel that develops a natural rust-like finish over time. This outer layer protects the steel underneath from corrosion, making it extremely durable and ideal for outdoor use.
Will the fire bowl rust and is that a problem?
Yes, and this is completely normal. The rust is part of the design and forms a protective barrier that prevents deeper corrosion. It will not weaken the structure like untreated steel.
How long does it take to develop the rust finish?
The patina usually starts forming within a few weeks and continues to develop over time. Weather conditions such as rain and humidity will speed up the process.
Can the fire bowl stay outside all year round?
Yes. It is designed for year-round outdoor use. Once the protective layer has formed, it can withstand rain, frost and temperature changes without issue.
Will it stain my patio or decking?
During the early stages of the weathering process, some rust runoff may occur and could stain lighter surfaces. This typically stops once the patina has fully stabilised.
Does it require maintenance?
Very little maintenance is needed. Simply remove ash and debris after use. There is no need to paint, seal or treat the steel.
What size should I choose?
Smaller sizes such as 60 to 80 cm are ideal for patios and compact spaces. Larger sizes like 100 cm and above create a stronger visual impact and are better for entertaining groups.
Does it come pre-rusted?
Some units may arrive with a partially developed patina, while others will start as bare steel. The rust finish will naturally develop once exposed to outdoor conditions.
Is it safe to use on decking or patios?
It can be used on patios, but for decking or sensitive surfaces it is recommended to use a heat-resistant base or stand to protect the surface underneath.
Can I cook on this fire bowl?
The Classic model is designed primarily for heat and atmosphere. However, you can add compatible grill grates or plancha plates separately if you want to cook over the fire.

Pallet Deliveries
Larger items are delivered on a pallet via curbside delivery. Drivers will usually place the pallet in a convenient location where access is easy and surfaces are flat.
Please note that drivers cannot move items through homes, over steps, or across difficult terrain.
